Knight Inlet, British Columbia, Canada
Canada is a land of Giants. I have spent many summers guiding around Knight Inlet in British Columbia. Vast mountain ranges descend into the ocean with Bears and Whales roaming the two worlds. The diversity of life is exceptional, and the landscape is even better. The topography and conditions make it challenging to get images, but that’s what I love. It’s a very different safari experience compared to Kenya. Not only are you in a boat, but you mainly go out with the intention of finding one species. Bears have been a huge part of my photographic journey, being one of the first mega fauna I’ve photographed. I love the Bears, but the Whales bring me back. I feel incredibly fortunate every time I see one of these ancient giants, especially if they do something extraordinary.
